Set a course for wayward schemes

Medium: Flagging tape, wood, paint, custom designed and fabricated lights
Size: 40 x 30 x 5 feet / 12.19 x 9.14 x 1.52 meters

Located on what was, at the time, a dark and unsafe corner of downtown Los Angeles, this installation brought a much-needed source of light and color to the corner property façade. Two fields of multicolored lines were set at opposing 45-degree angles and spaced five feet apart, which resulted in an optical illusion of kinetic motion experienced by passersby.
